I have always lived in a story, telling them before I knew what a story was. First it was to change my life or me. Then to understand where and who I am as I become that person. Now I write to understand how we become who we are and how we can change, or go back to the magical person we once were, before the outside seeped in and turned us into people our childhood selves wouldn’t recognise. I want to live my truth, and I want to reframe how I think about the world, life, and how I live in it.  Writing is where I find the space to explore this.

I write a Substack Straight Up With A Twist and I run writers' retreats.

When I’m not writing I am usually hiding in a corner somewhere with my nose in a book, or knitting a sock. I also love photography, especially textures, shadows, light and reflections. You can find some of my photographs on Instagram. I've also put a few below here.
